Vertex AI Image Generator Setup
Fix permission denied errors in 3 simple steps
Current Error: Permission 'aiplatform.endpoints.predict' denied. Your service account needs Vertex AI User role.
Step 1: Enable Vertex AI API
- Go to Google Cloud Console
- Select project: Loading...
- Navigate to APIs & Services → Library
- Search for "Vertex AI API"
- Click Enable
Step 2: Grant Service Account Permissions
⚠️ Could not load service account info
Check that GOOGLE_CLOUD_CREDENTIALS is properly configured.
Grant permissions via Console:
- Click the button below to open IAM Console
- Click Grant Access
- Paste the service account email shown above
- Add role: Vertex AI User
- Add role: Storage Object Admin(for image uploads)
- Click Save
Step 3: Verify Cloud Storage Bucket
Ensure the bucket
snappy-english-media
exists:- Go to Cloud Storage → Buckets
- Check if "snappy-english-media" exists
- If not, create it with Standard storage class
- Location: us-central1 (same as Vertex AI)
After Setup
Permissions may take 1-2 minutes to propagate. Then return to the AI Image Generator and try again.
